According to a collective communication, the US Department of Justice has halted funding for more than 100 service providers that aid survivors leave abusive situations and obtain essential services including housing, counseling, and case management.
"Letting such resources to disappear would enable human trafficking and threaten lives," the communication emphasizes. "Many regions will be without their sole assistance organization, abandoning individuals with no safe emergency housing."

The coalition is asking lawmakers to compel the administration to restore the funding to protect thousands of trafficking survivors throughout the US.
